Our Infant program focuses on the whole child, enhancing social, cognitive, language, and physical development. We strongly believe in providing all children a loving and nurturing environment filled with stimulating activities. Everyday, our children are exposed to a wide variety of age appropriate experiences, including a sensory rich classroom environment, participation in outdoor time, songs, sign language, and a second language.

During the first years, infants and toddlers start to develop the important skills which they will need for the rest of their lives. These skills are usually classified into the following categories:

Motor development and sensory skills, refer to the children’s ability to control their body’s movements and to be aware of the world around them. The more varied the experiences of infants, the greater the possibilities of learning. The development of the brain occurs in the first two years of life, and the experiences of the child during this period are fundamental. We stimulate the five senses in an integrated method: sight, hearing, taste, touch, and smell, integrated together. We provide these activities to infants in order to help them recognize their own senses and functions. Babies learn in a very different way, so we offer them a variety of stimuli to engage them in this stage of human growth and development.

Language development is a process starting early in human life. Infants can start to distinguish speech sounds and engage in babbling during the first year. Stories are a great way to introduce new words and ideas into an infant's language, and help them to learn about concepts such as shape, size, space and color, up and down, inside and outside, numbers and the names of objects.

Social/Emotional development happens when infants learn to identify and respond to their own needs and feelings, developing trust and creating a bond with parents and their new family. An infant's social and emotional development grows as they become more aware of other people who are around them.
